Our Grooming Studio

All breeds of dogs benefit from regular professional grooming. It keeps their coats shiny and clean, enhances hair follicles and keeps their skin in optimum condition all year round. Grooming and shampooing removes moulting hair, unwanted undercoat, dead skin particles and dandruff. Not only will your dog feel and look spectacular he/she will smell gorgeous as well.

Here at Happy Woofs we want the best for your loyal friend but we also care for the environment. For this reason we use natural, biodegradable and environmentally friendly shampoos.

As a qualified Aromatherapist I use a selection of pure essential oils to mix with shampoos. Each shampoo is selected to suit your dog’s coat type (smooth coat, wiry coat, long coat, silky coat, etc), this is then individually mixed with aromatherapy oils. The oils are specifically chosen to suit your dog, no two customers will have the same mix!! Your dog will then receive a deep relaxing massage while the oils and shampoo penetrates deep into your dogs coat and skin. This releases muscle tension and helps nervous dogs to relax. The oils can help to control skin condition, ease muscle pain and arthritis, deter parasites, strengthen the immunity or just to give a brilliant shine to the coat. Finally the coat is given a gentle blow dry which removes any remaining loose hairs and dead skin particles. Your dog looks, feels and smells divine.
We specialise in Poodles and x poodle types such as Cockerpoo, Cavapoo, Lhsapoo.

Massage

If you are looking for a natural and effective way of supporting and resolving issues with your dogs health then we are able to help you. You can book your dog a dry massage with aromatherapy and carrier oils for specific problems/conditions. It lasts 35 minutes minutes for any breed (or size). A dry massage on our special mattress with aromatherapy oils is £16 for 35 minutes and £24 for 50 minutes.

We no longer groom large dogs, nor are we able to take on new dogs if the queue exceeds 8 weeks.

Dog Grooming Prices

Our prices are for regularly groomed dogs. If the dog’s coat is badly matted and requires extra grooming time, this will be agreed and priced accordingly with the owner. Spa Treatment - grooming, shampooing with individually mixed aromatherapy oils, deep relaxing massage and gentle blow dry.Ears are cleaned with Witch Hazel and Lavender oil, eye area cleaned with Euphrasia Tincture and nails clipped.

A general tidy up with clearing of the fur around the paw pads, thinning back of the dogs legs and hocks and neck area, cutting excess hair away from ear openings.

Cutting and clipping is done to breed standards or to owners request.

Dogs that require clipping /cutting can also benefit enormously from a full Spa Treatment between clipping times.

If your dog requires hand stripping or for the coat to be cut solely with thinning scissors (no clipping), please call.
